Moot

Moot 2024

Sheffield 21st-22nd September

This Moot will also be a celebration of The Exiles Sheffield's 10th Birthday. and will be hosted by The Exiles Sheffield.

We have a packed agenda planned! This year we are going to have big step away from classes and a big step into how to apply the system when it would matter. We’re going to give you, and have you participate in, classes which truly showcase how our Art is actually applied, whilst still having fun.

As always, we plan to have an evening get together on the Saturday night with a private area for food and drinks.

If you have been to a Moot before then you know how great they are! If you've never been to one, then now is the time! There is not a one-club event like this anywhere in the UK.

The costs are

  • Full Weekend Moot and meal - £60 - book online by clicking here
  • Full Weekend Moot - £40 - see booking page
  • Meal only - £20 - see booking page

Hotel Options

As you'd expect there are plenty of hotels in Sheffield City Centre - however, a bit lacking in the residential suburb where the school is so driving/taxis will probably be necessary

In the city centre:

Closest to the social veue, and a 15-20 minute drive to the School:

The Hampton by Hilton currently showing at ~£120 a night https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/dsashhx-hampton-sheffield/

The Leopold Hotel https://www.leopoldhotel.co.uk/en/ £135 a night

A bit further from the social venue (still walkable) and same drive to school:

Ibis https://all.accor.com/ssr/app/accor/rates/B4D2/index.en.shtml?compositions=1&dateIn=2024-09-20&nights=2&hideHotelDetails=false&hideWDR=false&destination=sheffield-uk ~£80/night

(Also on Accor - Novotel and Mercure St Pauls are both nice hotels but pricier - ~£150/night)

Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre - £100-£120 ish per night  https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/south-yorkshire/sheffield/sheffield-city-centre-st-marys-gate.html

In between:

Halifax Hall hotel, ~£100 a night . Short taxi/bus/drive to both social and school https://www.halifaxhall.co.uk/

..plus many others, self catering, air bnb etc...
